If you have time to go to Stratford on Avon also to see Anne Hathaways Cottage and Shakespeares birthplace.
Believe me there is so much to do that you will prbably find that you just dont have the time to do it all in.
Windsor itself is a lovely place. You might also like to go to Kingston and Richmond for shopping...nice crowd.

I would take in a show in the West End if I were you.
If you want to catch the pomp and ceremony or London you have to take a look around the houses of parliament, Whitehall, Buckingham Palace, St James' Park etc.
For shopping it depends on your budget, but the West End is famous for its shirt makers on Jermyn Street and Suit Makers on Saville Row. Despite what one of the previous answerer's said, you really should go to Harrods - the food hall is sumptuous and amazing.
I would take a visit to St Paul's Cathedral too, I don't know if you can still get up to the whispering dome, though.
Then the museums and galleries are very good, in general, but if you have young children I would avoid the British Museum as it is a bit more academic than general.
I hope that helps.
