Because most cannot handle the truth. Most cannot be trusted with being good parents, but they have kids anyway and look how they turn out. Could you imagine matters of security?

The Unites States is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy.

I am not sure what you mean. Politicians sometimes lie...both parties are guilty. It is a democracy because we get to vote for the person we believe will screw up the least.

Oh for Pete's sake I wish they would teach our kids that the US is a democratic-republic!
Or at least something about our government that isn't criticizing every President, living and dead!!
