The Niners are giving up an amazing 27 points per game, but in the last 3 games have given up a total of 30 points. Their defense has been great as of late. They say defense wins titles. Will their D carrying them to the playoffs. They just might. They are in the weakest division currently and that will help them. Smith is developing into a good NFL qb and Gore is becoming a star rb. If their defense can keep playing the way it has the last 3 weeks, and Gore and Smith continue to improve, they have an outside chance at the playoffs. If they make it, will they win a game, probably not, but who cares, no one expected them to even win 5 games this year let alone be a playoff contender.

In that branch, something can ensue. i think of that the 49ers are going to marvel some people this 300 and sixty 5 days. they have a stable working activity, a extreme-high quality passing attack, and a plenty more suitable D (a minimum of on paper). additionally they play in between the weaker divisions in soccer. So specific, i does not be shocked in the event that they gained their branch and made the playoffs (that's the sole way that they are going to get in, the wild card is popping out of the two the NFC East or South)

They definitely have a chance, the way they are playing right now. With Seattle back at full strength, it will be very hard to overtake them in the division, but if not, given the competition in the NFC, a WC is not out of the question........

My call would be

Chicago
Seattle
Carolina
Dallas

WCs - Giants and Saints

i hope so i am a diehard 49er fan, but they cannot let down at all...for sure they need to beat rams, packers, and seahawks...they might have a chance against the broncos cuz they will be resting for playoffs (if they make it) and saints will be a close game. They can only afford to lose 1...2 if seahawks and rams do bad too

No...they are not a good enough team.. they have been lucky early this season. I think that seattle and sandiego will be the only teams from the west in the playoffs.

For those of us who live in Northern, Cal. It would be nice considering where the Raiders are this year. OUCH. I don't think so although Gore is trying. Who knows if the defense continues as it is, it could be a maybe.
