This is just a general answer. You might need to engage in better sleep hygiene. Go to bed at the same time every night. Take a hot bath before bedtime. Ask someone if you snore which can have dire consequences and impair your quality of life. Get up at the same time every day. Exercise at least 30 minutes every day.Your quality of sleep can make all the difference. I hope you feel better soon and give these tips a try for one month before your see a physician.

It depends on how much sleep you are getting. When (if ever) do you feel fully rested? Is it when you have 10-12 hours of sleep, or when you're on a sleep schedule? Do you go to sleep at the same time every night, or is your sleep schedule all over the place? How many hours are you getting now? That could have a MAJOR impact on your sleep. Personally, when I get too much sleep, I feel like you do...that's like more than 9 hours of sleep though. Anyhow, I would recommend going to sleep at the same time and waking at the same time every day for 2 weeks, and see how you feel. Allow yourself the amount of time it would take you to feel fully rested (could vary between 6-10 hours for some people). Dreaming (REM) sleep is the recoperating sleep, and it usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get into REM sleep (you go in and out of REM sleep 4- 5 times in an 8 hour sleep cycle), so if there's something that keeps waking you up at night, or if you're missing a lot of REM sleep for some reason, that could majorly contribute to feeling exhausted in the morning. Are you waking up a lot at night? If you still feel like crap, you could possibly have a sleeping disorder, and I would look up some more info about that. More info about your sleep cycle would be helpful though.

Sounds like basically one of two things. One, you are indeed NOT a morning person, therefore it doesn't matter how much sleep you may get, you still don't like waking up early in the morning (I'm like this!). The second possibility, is that you are experiencing some depression. These symptoms that you are reporting ARE consistent with someone that has depression. You don't have a desire to get up, get out of bed and do anything. If you think it is the latter, and not the former, you might want to consider seeking out some counseling to explore why you are depressed.

~when you just quit smoking(and used to smoke after waking)
~when you also sleep in afternoon
~when you take sleeping pills or other medication that is causing drowsiness.
~when lacking exercise
~when it's monday!

It depends do you you wake up naturally or do you wake yourself up.
if you wake your self up your pretty much interrupting your rest which is bad and if you cant avoid that go to bed early
