I didn't really become consciously aware of it until I was around 22 or 23. By that time I had already been married, had a son, divorced, and begun a long term relationship and had another son.
There's a difference between knowing what sex is, and being aware of the fact that you have the ability to use a mans attraction to you as a tool for your benefit and personal gain.
When I figured out that little winks, a raised eyebrow, biting my lower lip, or any number of other gestures produced a positive reaction, I ran with it. I started testing it in on guys who were strictly friends and learned how to get the results I wanted without ever crossing lines I had no intentions of crossing, and I learned how to use it in my relationship to sway away from confrontation, to improve communication, to just flat out get my way... you name it. You just have to learn where to draw the line and not go overboard.
The power to manipulate is fine in moderation. But over-using it or trying to use it to completely control a partner is will only blow up in your face when they become tired of it, or if they submit and you become bored....

I developed earlier than most girls my age, and yes I have always been attracted to guys, but it wasn't until about a year ago that I became fully aware of myself as a sexual being.... let's just say hormone finally kicked in. At the age of 18 I became aware of my deep sexual desires for men. It's rather bemusing that it took so long... but not really. I never really had any want for a boyfriend, so I never allowed myself to think about it. I was too young and my views on dating are perhaps a bit old fashioned - you date to find someone to marry - so why would i consider dating in highschool?

i believe i was around 12 or 13 when i realized the stares i would get from grown men and i wasn't comfortable with the looks i was getting so i wore clothes that was too big to sort of hide myself. i felt much more comfortable with myself and it seemed like i didn't get the negative attention as much.
