My mom got sick and had to cancel Thanksgiving dinner at the last minute. I have decided to make a Thanksgiving dinner for my husband and I. All of the turkeys at the store are frozen and since thanksgiving is tomorrow I don't have time to let one thaw out for a few days. I got a Jenni-O turkey that is able to be cooked frozen. Are these turkeys any good? I have Never made Thanksgiving dinner before...wish me luck!

Yes I have had a Jenni -O turkey. I enjoyed the all-white meat over
the dark - meat because it was juicier and more tender. They serve well and come with gravy. It feeds about four people who are not trying to stuff themselves:) and cranberry sauce on the side and pumpkin pie for dessert would suit most folks I think. Enjoy and I pray you Mother gets better and you all have a wonderful T-day!
I know you will do just fine:)

I have never tried it, but what you can do to make it tasier is to bake it for an hour or so....just so the skin is able to be pulled slightly away from the breast. Melt some butter and put in fresh sage, rosemary, and thyme, or dried if you don't have fresh. Mix the herbs in the butter and put some of it under the skin and the rest on top and put back in the oven. The flavor is amazing and the butter helps keep the turkey from getting dry.

They should be quite similar, if not the same any any other turkey. After all...a turkey is a turkey, not? I can't say I have ever heard anything bad about them. I live less than 15 miles from a Jenni-O plant. Good luck to you!

Jenni-O turkeys are wonderful. Since it was only my husband and I the last few thanksgivings and Christmas' we have had them. This year is the first time we didn't have one - we had ham. (We celebrated our Thanksgiving early because I have to work tomorrow).

Any turkey can be cooked from a frozen state, just cook it long and slow.
