So there's this place in Oregon called the Vortex which is supposedly the same thing. I think it's a scam, but my wife disagrees. If you are disappointed a legitimate phenomenon of the country's deepest lake, Crater Lake, is only a half hour away. It is the bluest, cleanest, coldest, clearest body of water I have ever seen even on TV.

Interesting, haven't heard of that one... I take it by strange you mean really really weird?

If you are - the only one I know of as far as something like that is the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz California.

If you're not;

Parts of Yellowstone National Park are truly weird, like an alien landscape.

Parts of Russia's Kamchatka peninsula are similar.

The Big Island of Hawaii certainly looks freakish in parts, smooth black rolling ground that periodically cracks and gushes liquid rock.

Machu Picchu is supposedly strange exotic and so forth.

The Pyramids of Egypt,

There's a place in the Pacific where you can scuba dive on an entire fleet of sunken WWII ships that sank largely intact, along with intact cargo that is visible like jeeps, planes, etc.

Just some ideas,
