How to make payments in ebay?

I'm new to the online buying thing. Can someone please explain to me how to make payments in eBay ?

Absolutely. First off, you require a credit card. The preferred method of online payment by many eBayers is a service called PayPal, so all you have to do is subscribe to paypal (at paypal.com) and payment is made from there.

Alternatively, some sellers will accept a check or money order. But you'd be better off applying for PayPal since payment is quick and secure.

Hi, okay it depends what payment options the seller is providing in the auction.
Most have:
bank deposit,
pay pal or
check or money order.


Just look at the bottom of the item description and see whats available. then when you have won the item click on the PAY NOW button or sometimes the seller will send you an invoice and you can pay from there. I prefer to use bank deposit as i can do it from home and also its less hassle than going to the post office. Although now i think about it when i started out that is defiantly the easiest way. Just posting away a money order.


Have fun and remember to always bid an extra 10-50cents on top of what you are prepared to pay...I cant tell you how often i used to miss out by just a few cents!!!

eBay generally uses PayPal. Just sign up for an account on their site, then you link that account to your credit/debit card or to a bank account. Then, when you authorize payment for an auction, it automatically charges you for the purchase. You can also receive payments with PayPal, then transfer those funds into your bank account when they arrive.
