I am becoming increasingly upset with the United States. Yes, I am a US citizen, born and raised. I did nothing to earn this status. I ponder, daily, the state of affairs this country is in. And I deal with being an outcast among my peers. Why? Because I question, and I want answers. My peers, on the other hand, want to remain in their comfort zones, and do not want me and my questions to interupt their peace. Go figure.......I want to know why more people are not upset at the direction our country is taking. Do you not care? Do you believe what your government tells you? Do you read anything outside of the mainstream media? We are now the aggressor country. Saddam has been condemed to death for killing 1XX people. How many people has the US killed in this "war on terror"???????

I'm with you.
I think that being the only viable superpower has literally gone to the nation's head. As a very wise Gorbachev said this past October, "The United States seems to be suffering from a sort of winner's disease, winner's syndrome." Because of its position in the world, our nation feels as if it is above the rules it helped put into place.

A few facts to share with you:
1. Saddam killed more than "1XX" people. Try closer to a million.
2. The vast majority of people killed in Iraq since March 2003 have been killed by Muslim "insurgents" (really terrorists). Not by US forces.
3. If you don't want to feel like such an outcast with your America-hating views, move to Marin County, California.

We are not the 'aggressor country'! We are defending ourselves! In case you have forgotten, we were ATTACKED on September 11, 2001; nearly 3000 people died horrible deaths while they were minding their own business at work, or while flying on an airplane. Some people leaped to their deaths from the upper floors of the Towers rather than die in the inferno. The POTUS is obligated, SWORN to protect and defend this country against all enemies. And in case you haven't noticed there hasn't been another attack on American soil since Pres Bush took the fight to the enemy on their own turf. The 'enemy' is not a uniformed army of a sovereign nation (see the Geneva Conventions), but radical Muslim extremists whose religion teaches them the only sure way for them to get to heaven and 72 virgins is by dying in battle fighting the infidel~that's why they are so eager to blow themselves up for allah. Quit reading liberal blogs and other liberal bilge. This country, our freedom, and way of life is worth fighting for.

America has not violated one principle of the Geneva Accord. Apparently your friends are tired of your ranting, without any proper knowledge or research into the subject, or any knowledge of which you speak. The Geneva Accord allows that any subject found fighting while not in the official uniform of a sovereign country can be executed on the spot. So maybe you have a point! Instead of paying millions of dollars a year to keep them in prison such as Gitmo, feeding them, buying them prayer mats and Korans. How about we just shoot them. It is the law you speak so fondly of.

because our enemy did not sign the geneva accords and is not requiered to follow them.this causes us to fight with one hand behind our back and that will cause us to lose. and yes we have killed a lot of terrorist thats the point. i wish that you citizens who hate your country so much would just move to another country already.

Pssst. Our country was attacked on 9/11/01. AND we will NOT stand for that. Furthermore, we did not want or ask for this war .. the terrorist did.
Hope this helps, kiddo.
