I'm getting a shuffle, and do I need to install Itunes with the disk, i alredy have itunes on my comupter, and like 1500+ songs, I really dont want to re-download them!1 I am useing Windows XP home!

No, you don't. iPods don't come with the discs anymore. The iTunes you have should be fine, as long as it is the last version.

I do not think so. I bought an ipod a little while back, I just plugged it in and it immediately sensed the songs in my itunes. It worked really well.

no, you dont have to install. since you already have it, it'll work just fine. if you have an active internet connection, they'll let you know when a new version is ready to install. so, just keep it up to date, and you'll be fine.
