I just realized that for once in my life, my first impression was dead-wrong.
And i'm ashamed :(

I trust in my instincts and tend to go by my first impressions, to a certain extent. I will always give someone the benefit of the doubt, or be a little leary, depending on what my first impression was, good or bad. It is easier to trust your instincts and first impressions when dealing face to face. It is not so easy on the internet.

don't be ashamed if your first impression is wrong learn from it and be more aware of when you run into someone like that again. I try not to judge people on first impression cuz I usually make a terrible first impression, but I can't help but of thinking first impressions are usually right. I think Jung was the one who said intuition is a sign of intelligence. I think of it as almost a safe guard that does protect us from wasting our time with people we are not going to get along with. I know everyone is a special and unique snowflake but you can't ignore the similarity that runs through certain types of people.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression and I think it is very important. It is kind of like judging a book by its cover, which until I heard of O.J. Simpsons book "If I did it" I never thought could be done with certianty.

you have to go by the first impression in the beginning, because lets face it, that's all you have to go by. but you have to be open-minded enough to allow yourself to be persuaded by future events too...you may miss out on getting to know a really awesome person if you judge them based solely on the first time you meet them.

think about it this way if you meet someone for the first time their impression on you says alot about if they are your type of person wheter friend or more, so yeah i go on first impression, but not look wise

i know how you feel. due to MANY experiences like the one you just had, i now know my first impression of people isnt usually right

i go by instinct, every time i've ignored my first impression and talked myself into liking someone it's came back to haunt me.
