The gauge on my car used to hitting the "H" after driving for less than 10 minutes. I recently had a new O2 senser installed and now it seems to be working better. Does the o2 senser control the gauge along with everything else? Thanks

The O2 sensor controls your air/fuel mixture which is also plays a role in how hot your engine gets.

10 MIN JOB if your handy go to the autoparts store and get a thermostat for you car make sure you know the mad and model of your car along with engine type (eg 2.0 dohc) this usualy is the problem they dont cost more then 10 bucks and take more then a few wrenches to put them in. make sure the car has cooled down before you start this and be sure to top off the coolant after you have finished you shouldnt lose more then 2qts

but always have a back up plan extra car( they always like to give me the wrong part the first time)

Your waterpump might be failing. Check under the hood for any coolant leaks around the fill of the radiator, also notice any belt squeels.

If its not your waterpump then it is more then likely your thermostat.

The o2 Sensor has nothing to do with it

It only reads the emissions of the vehicle to adjust any leaness/richness of the vehicle.

You mean it got hot? The O2 sensor doesn't control temperature at all. If you have a high temperature problem the mostly likely cause is the thermostat, radiator, or water pump. I suggest getting it to a mechanic.

ok how do you be attentive to "it leans the engine on initiate". The oxygen sensor, to your information dose no longer something until the engine comes as much as temp. Do something sturdy for your self and each physique around you and get the exhaust leak fixed. circulate away the O2 sensor on my own it did harm all of us.
