Try different things. A child never died from crying. Some like the sound of white noise found between channels on the TV, some find a wind up swing very soothing, some like a 10 minute car ride, some like pacifiers. Put the baby down and stop this behaviour. Stick to your guns. Some like classical music. Some are impossible and not picking the baby up can cure this in 4 days. Do not give in. If you do, the baby will cry louder and longer and knows with persistence you will give in. Peaceful happy baby or brat from hell. It's tough;you can do it.

My second child is colicky, and it's terribly hard, try a snuggli or some kind of carrier that works for you, if for some reason they don't work for you then lay her on your arm tummy down with her head near your elbow and your hand between her legs. This will give you one arm free to do things around the house and you'll get a great work out of your upper body and if you have to squat to pick things up it'll work out your thighs as well, so think of it as a all day workout. She may also have silent reflux but that would cause her to cry all the time, even when being held, so she might just be a high needs baby. If nothing else works and you have to clean up some, its okay to let her cry but not for long periods, try 5 or 10 minutes and then stop and hold her, otherwiese wait until she goes to sleep and then clean. It's hard, but you'll survive it, and so will your little girl.

Crying is the only way that your baby can communicate its needs during the first months of his/her life. But trying to understand what each different cry means can be extremely frustrating and distressing. A cry can mean your baby is wet, tired, hungry, lonely, uncomfortable or simply exercising his/her vocal chords. try taking her in your arms, rock her while singing a soft song.or else i suggest you to visit some good baby care sites.it has helped me alot.

Avoid other chores. Enjoy lifting babies. Tomorrow your baby will become a girl and you will become nostalgic.

Try putting her in a baby swing. Maybe the swing motion will relax her.

Put her in her crib and vacuum. The vacuum cleaner successfully put my sister, my brother, and I to sleep 40-46 years ago, and the vacuum cleaner successfully put my niece to sleep 16 years ago.
