Marriage should not be a computation of who makes more or less. It really shouldn't be monetarily based at all, and it may be more of a positive that your earning potentials equal so no one feels like they are carrying the burden. Just make sure you both are on the same page about how you want to tackle your bills, savings, etc. For example, I would prefer that my money be my money and I contribute 50/50 to household bills; my husband feels like we should put all of our money together and then do the 50/50 thing. . .which makes compromising a task with us, but not insurmountable. Just be open, honest, and realize that whatever issue it is there will be some stress involved in the planning stages and that is okay.

in todays world it is better that both of your earn,egos only clash when you have such a problem till the day you respect each others feelings nothing will go wrong,money cannot buy feelings and emotions,also your cordination and planning will help you in your old age, you cannot depend on your children whether they will look after you or not,beforeyou marry you both shiould make it a point that you will live in peace and harmony whether times are good or bad,also very important do not have acommnucation gap otherwise outsiders will take the benefit of pushing in egos and you may make your live miserable.

You are talking about typical male ego....which gets hurt when his wife earns equal to or more than him. I wonder what these people do when their wives start earning more than them post marriage...........
Well everything is inside your head. If you take pride in your spouse's success it will not bother you besides giving you a more comfortable life when both of you are earning. Also your wife / fiancee should understand the fact that salaries can change anytime but love remains constant.

Dont think like that!! If you do not stop thinking that ur girl is earning equal to you,u will not satisfy.
In this new era of life this kind of inequality should be avoided.

In todays world it is possible to lead a luxurious life only if both members earn. In fact you should be happy that your girls earns this much. Whenever small problems arouse please avoid thinking that she acts like this only because she earns so much.
