Various things you do cause a build up of static potential about your body. How effectively you can release this potential affects how much you zap things/people around you. Every person's individual resistance to electric current is different. This along with things like whether or not you are constantly grounded, thus discharging any built up static potential on your body, affect your "electrifying" personality. :P This is why people employed in working with sensitive electronics use things like grounding wrist straps or ground mats, etc before and while working with the electronic components. The mats and straps help get rid of any static potential build up.

You're just lucky enough, like my oldest sister, to be able to pop someone else at will. I always stay out of arm's reach of her in the static filled winter time.

Whether you are affected by static electricity or not depends on the nature of your skin and your body composure. If your body is conducive to static electricity, If you walk fast on some carpet or mat and then touch some metallic parts you will get a shock. Even when you touch some other person also you can experience this.

well if you have dry skin then your dead skin cells trap electrons in your body that is grounded. But if metal objects such as Car door, door knob, clothes...etc the energy will be grounded to that object causing you to get a feed back. But if your skin is not dry then...i cant help you
