Yes, you often loose your plug (or more of your plug) after having your membranes stipped. It is common to go into labor within the next day or two, but don't be dissapointed if it doesn't happen. My membranes were stripped twice and nothing happened, but my sister-in-law's was stripped once and she went into labor within 48 hours.
I would make sure your bag is ready to go, though. Just in case!
Good luck and congratulations on your soon-to-be-born baby!

I faced the similar situation ,I had a blood show and 3 cm dilation when visited the doctor i had no pain, the Doctor asked me if i want to wait until the labor begin and it may take 24 hr, or if i want to give birth now?
I decided to make it now, they gave me infusion to induce the artificial labor, after two and a half hours i gave birth to my daughter.
So why to strip the membranes if every thing is normal? Ask your Doctor.

feels like bloody practice... the mucus plug is greater of a gelatin blob sort of element - yellow/white. that's not "stringy" like the traditional being pregnant mucus it is so significant. while you're having bloody practice, then exertions is probably impending. even with the undeniable fact that, only having your membranes stripped could make you have some bleeding (brownish). attempt to attend and notice ( i recognize that's super stressful at this element) and superb desires to you!

I had that done on Monday and I have not had my baby yet and no bloody show at all just menstrual like cramps my doctor said labor could start and it mayn't. so I don't know. but you are right about the bloody show it usually means with in 24 hrs. also if you are at home and you have this bloody show now you need to be at the hospital to be monitored. So get going did they not tell you to go in if your water broke or if you have a bloody show. get going and good luck and congrats

Yes. When my membranes were stripped, I had bloody show that evening, but not labor for 3 more days.
How exciting for you! Congrats!
