Depending on the link. the web site may be slow or unavailable at the moment.
A more troublesome possibility is that yoiu may have a virus or some spyware that is interfereing. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date, and run it.

You know, I am kind of having that same problem with my desktop pc. It happens randomly, I would click on a link and it just stops. I'm assuming there is something running on the background that is causing the computer to freeze. I dont know exactly what it is, but I am working on it. If I find anything I will let you know. It happens mostly during the late hours of the night though. Its weird.
Sorry I dont have the exact answer for you, but just thought I would let you know that you are not the only one with that problem.
