what does it mean that others can see me email messages?

when i am sending an email, how can others see my email messages if they do not have my password?

In theory without your password, only the recipient(s) can see the message. However, the message may flow though several E-mail servers, and various media as well, where it may be scanned, read, recorded, and copied without your knowledge or consent.
