Unfortunately both Florida teams have to go, maybe, just maybe they could be merged into one team and put in Orlando if MLB is so dead set on having a team in that state.

I don't thing the fact that there are more teams in one league than another has anything to do with anything. The talent pool is the talent pool.

More expansion? PLEASE NO! MLB has proven incapable of picking cities for new teams.

Marlins would be my first choice of a team to be contracted.

Tampa Bay. Living in Tampa, I can say their stadium sucks royal. Even playing the Yankees or BoSox you can hear a a conversation between two people half a stadium away. The stadium is so quiet, nobody cheers, and it's almost as if everyone in the stadium entered a contest....lost...and got tickets to the game as a consolation prize. The team is just flat out terrible.

The old GM bled the team dry.

This is how bad it is now, they are the only team in baseball that advertises free parking as an incentive to come.

VIP tickets to the "box seats" are absurd. They would have no idea how to cater to anyone with cash or clout - that's why they suck.

All of the other teams have history. Yeah the Royals suck, but they had the George Brett years, and still have loyal fans. The Marlins are a close second, and so is Colorado.

Go to a Tampa game, you'll be one of 5oo people there. They need to go.

In order, Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay. Miami (Marlins) comes in a close second although they have at least won the World Series and seem dedicated to winning even though their ballpbark leaves a lot to be desired. Tampa Bay on the other hand, doesn't even have that - crappy ballpark, worse team, and a negligible fan base. That team should be packed up immediately and moved to either San Antonio or Portland.

1. The Toronto Blue Jays should be relocated to New Orleans
getting us out of Canada with MLB
2. The Milwaukee Brewers should be relocated to either Memphis or Nashville.

Kansas City should be discontinued. The Marlins should be moved to either Miami (like planned) or Brooklyn would be nice (not gonna happen tho) The D-Rays should also relocate out of that toilet bowl they call a Stadium and move to somewhere in the South West like a spot in California.

Let's Look at the makeup of the two Leagues.... the National has 16 teams, the American has 14. On the surface, it looks like the need to move a team or two, is the Nat's move.... but look again...

What is really needed, very much needed, are two more new teams in the American League, making the total number 32, a perfect number for the playoffs, and giving 16 teams to each League.

OK, with that said, let's look at expansion. Yeah, I hate it, too, watering down the talent, the pitching, the number of times any two teams play each other, in a 162-game season, I know, I know, I have heard all the arguments, until I could throw up.

But what else can the MLB do? It cannot go 15 teams to a league, obviously. And 14 and 16 is only a benefit to the American League, with the concentration of pitching, talented batters...and on, and on, and on....

So, we are back to expansion, by two teams, into the MLB. To be fair to each league, it has been proposed, that the Colorado Rockies move to the American League, and that one more team be added to that league, too. Maybe one in New Orleans, or Oklahoma City, or Albuquerque, N.M. This gives the American League 16 teams, and the Rockies don't have to worry anymore about their pitchers hitting in Coors Field, they'd get a DH!!

On the National League side, with the Rocks gone, there is only one space to fill, from 15 to 16 teams. The Canadians have barked and barked so much, since Le Montreal Le Expos left there, so WTF, put a team in Vancouver, B.C.
*****This would be the right answer to many inter-league matchups, too!! The AL Seattle Mariners would have a natural rival in the NL Vancouver team; The now-AL Rockies could matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks, a natural rivalry...., and the new, New Orleans/Oklahoma City/Albuquerque AL team could challenge the NL team, the San Deigo Padres, the team left without a natural rival, in this scheme.

I thank you for your attention, and if my recommendation is accepted, I also accept your $25 Million fee. Graciously.

Aint Baseball just the very best Game ever??

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Not even close. They play in an ugly dome, are poorly run, are lousy year after year, and draw poorly. The only times they have decent crowds are when the Yankees or Red Sox are in town and fans of those teams who live in the Tampa area attend the games. The Devil Rays are also a huge drain on baseball's revenue-sharing system, and worse, they don't spend the money on getting good players. Of course, no good players want to go there anyway.

You'd have to pick 2 teams, not just one for balance.

"Discontinue" both Flordia teams
and then move The Rockies to
Portland, OR
And put Milwaukee back in the American League.

Note:
you cannot discontinue KC or The Cubs
both teams have been around for over 100 years.
If you discontinue any teams, it should the newer ones.
I laughed at the guy who said The Cubs should be discontinued.
Even without The Cubs, the whinny sux would still draw less.

The Colorado Rockies should be discontinued. They are just a plain old joke. They can't win anything, they haven't gone to the postseason in YEARS, and it's just a joke, how many wins and losses they have per year. They are usually ALWAYS at the WAY bottom of their division.

Now, the general manager Dan O'Dowd (of this team) was born and raised in my New Jersey town, but no offense. The Colorado Rockies have done nothing, are doing nothing, and will continue doing nothing forever.

The Marlins

The management is horrible, they need a new stadium ...who in the heck wants to sit through a game under the hot Florida sun with no protection to line the pockets of an organization who shows no commitment to the loyal fans and the absolute bare bottom payroll in all of MLB. Boo to them.
