Some Hotels ( 3 star and five star hotels like Oberoi,Taj)accept all currencies. They are licenced .There are authorised money changers like Thoms Cook.Go to them(use local telerphone directory -Yellow Pages for address. If you account holder of Chartered Bank or Citi Bank they offer free services to their customers. Some branches of Banks also change money. You can go to main branches of banks in the town and get it converted.(service charges applicable)

hotels aren't usually allowed to change money, but if its s high class place of the really helpful type u may be able to trust em to take it to someone to get it changed. not advised tho. just switch it in a bank before u go or when u get there.
