Is there really an end to the rainbow? If there is...is it gold or skittles?

You can't get to the end of a rainbow, it's essentially an optical illusion that there appears to be an end. It's a quirk of the angles between you and the sun and intervening moisture in the air:

Well, from what I've heard, rainbows don't reach the ground...so if there is, it's a pot of gold hovering in the sky. Lol.

It's much easier to catch a leprechaun if you want gold.

Rainbows are circular. It is only the horizon that stops you seeing this. You can never reach the end of a circle.
