The LaLaurie mansion in New Orleans.
The small girl that fell to her death... at the time there was something in effect called the Black Laws. These laws weren't to protect the black populace. Rather, they were to protect the white populace. New Orleans had had trouble with it's slaves in the past so the Black Laws were created to prevent that from happening.
What that means is that Mrs. LaLaurie was fined for the murder of the little girl. But the fine wasn't much and the story holds that she laughed as she paid the fine.
The little girl in the attic.
The police found a little girl in one of the dog cages. Every bone in her body had been broken and reset at odd angles so that she walked like a crab. She died a few months after she was discovered and released.
There's a window in the room where these people were kept. The window is now boarded up because it's said that the slaves faces used to show in the window. It disturbed the owner so bad, he elected to block up the window completely.
This house is so haunted, there are no words.

I'm not sure about most haunted ever.
Have you ever heard about the Queen Mary in Long Beach California. It's a former cruise ship that was used in World War II as a transport ship, renamed for the time as "The Grey Ghost". Now it's a hotel.
Lots and Lots of people have died on that ship. Not to mention that during the war it actually sliced another ship in half while avoiding enemy fire.
There's tons of ghost stories about that ship. I spent my wedding night there in the Winston Churchill Suite. My husband and I kept smelling cigar smoke all night. We thought it was someone in the next room, but the clerk that checked us out the next morning asked us if we smelled it. She said it happens all the time.

only place i have had personal experience with a haunted house is a place in Hoquiam, Washington, called Hoquiam castle, built by some lumber baron who lived there over a 100 yrs. ago...they do tours through it, i only made it on to the front porch and i started shaking uncontrollably, the hair on the back of my neck stood straight up and i got white as a sheet..I couldn't get out of there fast enough, it took me a half hour to calm down.. I have no idea what or why that happened, but i know i'm not going back there...

I would say anywhere in England the most haunted country in the world. Beheadings, wars, royal disputes, and the cold cold climate make it all haunted.

My house...165 years old and lots of strange things.
When doing cam chat, people have asked. Who is the woman behind me. I turn and there is no one. Banging and knocking sounds and seeing a white figure at the top of the stairs.

The burned down insane asylum in Pasadena was pretty haunted. Freaky stuff always went down when we would go there. I guess it makes sense, though, because crazy people were burned alive in there.
