Sigh... All the answers given so far are useless. :-( The problem of the asker is that his Registry editor has been disabled by a virus (probably by the Brontok virus - it's a widespread one and it does this). Telling him to run a virus scanner will *not* fix the problem. He probably has already removed the virus and even if he hasn't, it is very unlikely that the virus scanner will fix this side-effect of the virus.
For *proper* solution of the problem, see the following links.

You first try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus. The date should be when your pc was in a good condition. It may be one week or one month back...! You have to decide the date. The problem will be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
After running the virus scan delete all temprory internet files including off line content and also unwanted files and temp. files. Finally, carryout a defragmentation . Your system will be back to the normal...!

You might try running your Anti-virus in safe mode. I'll leave this up to someone more qualified. If that doesn't work than u may want to find a good Anti-virus forum. I would suggest the link below. Hope this helps

If you have a viris scanner installed, reboot in safe mode, to do this you restart and when you see the logo come up, you start tapping the F8 keep repeatedly until you load into safe mode, run your viris scan then restart, if you don't have a viris scanner, you can download avg free www.avgfree.com if this don't work reformat, using your start up disks that came with your system. Good Luck, hope this helps.
