Congratulations to your son on a wonderful GMAT score! No offense to the prior poster, but San Diego State's program is brand new, and not generally recognized as being outstanding in the field yet (and their MBA program, while perfectly acceptable. isn't that wonderful overall either). The original program in the U.S. was Ohio University, and in my experience, it is still the best-known and has the best networking, which is important in that field, at least within the U.S. I've also heard good things about the programs at Temple University and University of San Francisco. And some schools with generally good programs, like New York University, the University of Florida, and the University of Georgia, while I don't have direct experience with them, would probably not offer a bad program for fear of harming their overall reputation, so I would trust them too. In Sports Marketing specifically, the University of Oregon and University Kentucky seem to be particularly strong.

San Diego State University has a very good MBA program, and it is top in the nation for its sports management program. There are many internships around town as well. Great teachers (I'm currently in their program now) and great connections. Check out the link.
