Is Brian Urlacher overrated?

Question

I keep hearing all these comments and polls. All you have to do is look at his stats and watch him play to see that he is definately not overrated and is a huge huge part of the Bears Defense

I am a Vikings fan so I have to deal with him twice a year every year......I hate what he does to my team, but if we had him, that would be fantastic.

i can completely understand T.O. and that i agree yet brian urlacher this is basically undeniable incorrect. There are countless situations that brian urlacher has saved the pastime and won a pastime that throughout the time of technicality they could have lost. Why? because of the fact he on no account supplies up no count number how far up or how far down they're in score he performs the comparable way everytime. the guy performs for the affection of the pastime and has organic interest. And to suitable it off he's understated and he's not one in all those loud mouth cocky gamers.universal the terrific participant interior the nfl!

He's not overrated but I sometimes do think he is. Better than Ray Lewis? nope.

Nations 1# defense I wouldn't say so and redefine the position my a**. As Samurai said there's been plenty MLB's to be well rounded and Butkus was probably the best coverage MLB ever.

He is a little bit overrated. That's not to say he isn't good, in fact I would say that he's the best middle linebacker this year. But when people try to say he's the best ever, that's when he starts becoming overrated. The simple fact is, Ray Lewis WAS a better linebacker than Urlacher ever was, it only takes a quick comparison of their careers to see that. Urlacher is a well-rounded linebacker that is good in coverage and has gotten better of late against the run (though early in his career, he got run over alot.) And Urlacher didn't "redefine" the position, there's been well rounded MLB's around for decades (Butkus was the best coverage MLB ever, over twice as many int's as Urlacher).

He's a hard worker and great athlete.

But I like it when people call him overrated, because the next game, he proves exactly why he's not overrated.

He is not overrated, the guy is everywhere on the field. He is also great in pass coverage. I know that in a poll of NFL players, he was voted "Most overrated". However, the NFL is what, 80% African-American? I definitely think there was racism involved there. A lot of players don't want a white linebacker to get the recognition he deserves, and are jealous of his success. He's great, and I'd love him on my Giants.
