I have Verizon DSL. when we got it, it came with a router that has a built in router. how can i change the network name and password and stuff like monitor things in the network?

In other words....go to start, run...type cmd
in the prompt type ipconfig
Look for the default gateway
That's your router's address.
Open up internet explorer and type those numbers in.
You should be taken into the router.
If it asks you for a password try admin as either the password or the username not both.
In there you can change the settings. All you have to do is read what you are changing like turning on and off DHCP and you can also change the password of it. Just be careful and do not make any changes you are not sure of because that might lock your router up.

Most of the time it has a address of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 Go to the Manufactures Web site and they will point you on the Login name that is Default
