I have heard of things like, the "New World Order", Fascism, other names for it, of a very small amount of very rich people controlling us all, we being their slaves. I would do anything to prevent this, even if I had to leave everything behind.

Bad! At least in the times we are living in. The Utopian concept of a world at peace and everyone getting along is for now and the forseeable future just a pipe dream and the subject of Science Fiction novels. In our time a One World Gov't would neccesarily have to be totalitarian. We would have no freedoms and everything we did would be for the State. Just ask George Orwell.
Your quote "No nation can stand against a world united" does not mean a world gov't but all (or most of) the countries of the world uniting against a common foe or rogue nation. Like what should happen with N. Korea but probably won't.

To those who say it will never happen:
People like George Soros are proposing a tax on international financial transactions that will go to UN. If that happened it would give power financial and legislative to UN. One can not predict if it be good in the long run. In the short run it would be horrible. We would become poor and be ruled by a lot of people we dont agree with. The UN is pretty corrupt organization what we see on tv is about conflict. Most of UN work is about trade and making deals. One thing is for sure i dont want Iran, Russia, China or France to legislative power over Americans.

Pros-

Technology would rise, without worrying about being attacked and such technology would increase along with...
Medical Coverages,
New Discoveries,
World Peace,
No more world hunger because one nations would have the worlds resources,
The world can fight terrorism,
Further develop security..

I always dream about stuff like this..

However we live in a world full of greedy politicians, big company owners, religious radicals, terrorists wanting nuclear or world domination, world hunger, drugs... And if we're lucky enough, we can only find happiness in our own little communities...

Only way this can happen is .. well couple

One country dominates all the others, make the people happy, throw out their government...
Or negotiate with other governments to be part of it, but like I said, we live in a world full of power hungry greedy politicians...
Or... We all unite to fight one enemy, an alien invasion or global warning... You choose..

As an atheist, i do not remember on Biblical prophecy. in various of circumstances prophecies are so obscure that they are commonly interpreted in besides. i imagine any adventure that seems to fulfill a prophecy (even the non-Biblical ones) is completely coincidental, and became purely interpreted that way by a few hysterical, uneducated human being.

Unfortunately, I think the only thing that would change is the semantics - instead of conflicts being world wars, they'd be civil wars - but wars, none the less.

Nations will be equal. There will be no superpowers that will control the economy and exploitation of land rich in natural resources.
