The oldest movie I ever watched was called "The Kiss", in fact it's the oldest movie ever. It was filmed by Thomas A. Edison (1896), at his private photograpy studio called the Black Mariah

Nosferatu...from the 1920's...the dialogue all had to be read between shots of the movie (inserted dialogue cards). It was about a vampire and was really funny the way he walked kind of like some zombie.
The first movie I saw in a theatre was Herbie the Love Bug (the original)....late 60's.

It's A Wonderful Life (1946). I don't think I've seen any movies older than that. It's the only black and white film I've seen that can be put in the classics category. Majority of which are already in the 50s onwards.

John Wayne's Movies that are in black and white. Stage Coach Being on of them.
I also watched a Tarzan movie which was a silent movie. My kids didn't really like it, but I thought it was okay.

When was Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz made? I have also watched National Velvet (it's my favorite of old movies). And seen a lot of John Wayne and old westerns in black and white.
