Hey Mr."Free market" Kevin K: what happened to the government practicing a "hands off economic policy"? I guess it's important to let the responsibility of the people be paramount when it comes to our own protection from terrorists, but when it comes to our protection from smoking pot we need regulation from the government. Sorry dude...You are a hypocrite.

Sorry to say they won't legalize it. There are too many factors to consider.
The big problem is public safety. The last thing I need is for some stoned idiot driver plowing into my car or worse killing a member of my family. Yes, a drunk driver can do that just as easily; but most drunk drivers are not still drinking behind the wheel and most are driving drunk when the bars close. How hard is it to light up while driving? When are people most likely to drive while stoned?
Even if they do find a way to stop a bunch of new pottheads from driving while stoned, there are too many problems with the stuff. What level of THC will be legal? Beer and liquor are tightly controled as to the ammount of alcohol allowed to be sold. Pott is constantly being improved upon to get larger amounts of THC. Who is going to make sure the stuff is within acceptable limits? Where will it be sold legally? Who will be able to buy it?
The final problem is whether we will be satisfied with only marijuana. Will marijuana loose its appeal if it becomes legal? Will legalizing pott be just the begining? How long before the movement for legalization of heroin and cocaine starts?

Wish they would but they probably won't, simply because America doesn't make the best weed. If they did, it would be legalized just like alcohol and cigarettes! That's why it became illegal in the first place. If the American government can't find good profit on something, they try to ban it.

I assume not. Legalizing pot to pay for war I would hope would be the last option. They shoulkd hold a REALLY big fundrasier. But that would show how bad in debt our country is and they can't do that. When pot is legalized, our country is probably screwed.

specific for christ's sake only legalize it already. in the event that they elect to place some circumstances on it then large yet every person is already smoking it so only legalize it and supply up the hippies from taking over penitentiary area.

they probably won't legalize it but they may want to think about decriminalizing it
