Tyra Banks herself created a 5-minute make-up routine. Now that takes half of the time.

You can take less than 10 min.
1. Apply concealer to any blemishes or redness.
2. Brush on some powder.
3. Brush on some sheer (pink, white, silver) eyeshadow all over your lids and in the inside corner.
4. Apply some gray eye liner
5. Apply some black mascara.
6. Slick on some lip gloss.
Voila!

Start with a moisturizer over a clean face. Use a concealer for under eyes, not too close to the rim, and blemishes. Be sure to blend with a brush. Cover entire face with tinted powder (ie, bare minerals tinted mineral veil), brush on some all over face color or bronzer like Warmth by bare minerals then add a bit more to the cheek area and use as an eyeshadow. Dip a clear lip balm in the brozer and apply to lips. Use an eyelash tint, like Neutragena or just one coat of mascara. Also give your eybrows a boost with a tinted or clear gel.

Here's a routine that works in five minutes. I wake up late, and this does the trick for me. You will need a facial moisturizing creme, cosmetic wedges to apply make-up, a liquid concealer (don't buy oily solids--- they will make you break out), some lipgloss (think bonnebelle), a piece of toilet paper/tissue/facecloth, some brightening make-up creme (think Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator) and masscarra or eyeshadow. Here are the steps in order, a "*" indicates a step that isn't a must, but that you can use if you have time left:

1. Cup your hands and pour the coldest water you can on them. Put your face in it to wash away the night's dirt and sweat. Dab yourself dry with the facecloth.

2. With the cosmetic wedge, dab some moisturizing creme on your face and spread it ALL OVER YOUR FACE. this is very important if you don't want your pours to clog with dirt during the day. If the moisturizing creme is gloppy, use the dry, reverse side of the wedge to dab the wet parts of your face and smooth out the remaining creme.

3. Use a new wedge. With your finger or the tip of your new, clean wedge, dot large drops of concealer on the places you will spread it on. I recommend a dab on the forehead, a dab on both sides of the nose, on the chin, and a thin line down your nose.

3. Use the wedge to smooth out the concear, brushing upwards towards the ends of your face, to your hairline. Make sure not to get any concealer UNDER your chin. If you do, just dab it away with the wedge. Smooth the concealer line on your nose DOWNWARDS. It will make your nose look more defined.

4. Squeeze less than a pea-sized amount of brightening creme onto your finger and put one less-than-pea-sized drop onto both cheeks, on your forehead, and with the remaining creme on your fingers, draw another line down your nose.

5. With the wedge's thin edge, dot and dab the brightening creme towards your hairline. Do not RUB it towards your hairline, or you will rub off the concealer and your face will redden.

* 6. Apply masscarra. Use this sparingly, since on the long run masscarra makes your lashes fall out. ONLY USE IT IF YOU LOOK REALLY SCARY!! Apply it from the base of the lashes to the tip. Put the edge of your finger to your eye and blink on it to blink of residue, so that way your eyes won't smuge. Apply it mostly to the outside lashes, not so much the inside ones. NEVER apply it to the lower lashes, because it will smudge.

* 7. Apply lip gloss. (you can also do this during school or work, or even when you're running from place to place.)

And you're set! This routine seems long, but it's actually really quick once you put it into practice.

Dot concealer all around your face and on any blemishes. Use a small makeup sponge or your middle and ring fingers to blend it into your skin. Next, use a loose or pressed powder and brush it around your skin in a circular motion to help control oil and help the rest of your makeup stick on. Then, dot a cream blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend up through your cheek bone.
Use a powder eyeshadow in a light color to swipe over your lids. Light colors will be better when you're in a hurry, so if you mess up it won't be visible. Curl your lashes then brush a few coats of mascara on. Put a quick swipe of tinted lipgloss on and you're done.

I get my makeup done in 7 minutes with this routine. Foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara (only on the top-the bottom looks ridiculous) blush, powder, lip balm....good to go!!!

If it takes longer than ten mins to do your everyday make up then I would say you are over-doing it.

foundation + blush + eye shimmer + mascara + lip gloss = 5 mins
