I have a 1997 Mack tandem dump truck that will not build air pressure because the spitter valve was defective. I replaced the valve and it still leaks air. How can I fix this problem?

When we had a problem with the spitters, we would replace them with a pet-cock, basically a mini-ball valve. Just turn the handle 90 degrees to relieve the moisture, then close it. You have done manually what the spitter valve should do but you won't loose your air pressure. Just remember to blow down the water regularly, especially in the winter or it will freeze.

sounds to me like you need to replace your air drier since that is where the "spitter valve" as you call it is located. the diaphram is bad or the o-ring around the canister is shot. either way replace the air drier
