I THINK the turbo-hydro 350 was the (auto) tranny of choice by then. If not, it was the two speed powerglide. A four speed manual known as the "muncie" or Borg Warner was also available.

I believe in the Corvettes they used a Turbo-400. Much stronger than a Turbo-350.

If it was an automatic, then it was the TurboHydramatic 350, commonly called the Turbo 350. If it was a 4 speed, most likely a Muncie M21.

there were four options that im aware of, 2 automatics and 2 manuals, the autos are the turbo 350 and turbo 400, and the manuals were the musncie m21 or m22 rockcrusher

Could have been a 2 speed power glide, a 3 speed TH350, or as most people liked, a M-21 4 speed stick.
