Neither did my parents, but that doesn't mean that you can't use some sweet words for your husband. Just try and it will get easier with time. Tell him he's your sweetie, your teddy bear and your hero. Trust me, you will love the rewards. Don't let another day go by without letting him hear the words he wants to hear. Don't be stubborn about something so easy to do.

I think you are saying YOU do not use such endearments towards your hubby ?? start out simple, like maybe call him honey for a while..... then pick another word after about 2 or so weeks......... teach yourself to talk with love...... make a list of the cute words he would like to hear then go from there.... you may never make him understand, so dont even try to, just give urself permission to change the patern....... Saying names like that makes me feel weird. I don't like it and when my husband called me "babe" I always gave him dirty looks and said "I have a name." I don't know why it bothers me so much. I guess I just feel silly saying it.

Take this challenge.
Call him one special name for two weeks ( no other name) and see if it don't just become habit. This will improve your relationship and is a nice way to say you love and appreciate him.

My parents didn't either. But I call my guy sweety and baby. =) It's all about practice. Hihi.

my parents never had pet names for each other also,but i call my girlfriend babe and she calls me hun.
