Why do you think that The White Stripes get such great reviews (to give you an example Rolling Stone mag said it would suck for anybody to be a memeber of a rock band that wasn't The White Stripes) but don't have too much popularity???
Is it because they incorporate too many genres in their albums???
Is it ot what the youngsters like today???

Tell me about it

maybe its the lack of bass that the youngsters cant stand. or maybe its because when an actually DECENT modern rock band comes around, everyone is too busy listening to My Chemical Romance and playing with their Fall Out Boy barbies to listen.

Personally, I think the White Stripes are a great band. Its rare a decent band comes out of the crapchute called modern rock.

i have wondered the same thing. for example rolling stones magazine rated jack white at like number nineteen on the 100 greatest guitarist of all times issue. i think he is a good guitarist but slash from GN'R wasn''t even on the list and angus young was at number 94. so in my opinion i can't really take rolling stones magazine seriously any more.
