2. Lip Gloss Recipe
From Sherri Osborn,
Materials Needed:
* Paraffin wax
* Coconut oil
* Petroleum jelly
* Candy melts (to color the gloss and make it taste sweet)
* Oil-based candy flavoring (if you want a special flavor)
* Grater
* Wax paper
* Ziploc bag
* Small container (recycle old makeup containers or 35mm film containers, or look in stores that carry beads, crafts, or fishing tackle)
Instructions:
Grate some paraffin wax onto wax paper. Measure 1/4 teaspoon grated wax into the plastic bag. Add 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly, and 1 candy melt. Add 1/8 teaspoon oil-based candy flavoring if you like.
Seal the bag and carefully put it in a bowl of hot tap water to melt ingredients, about 3-5 minutes.
(Use tap water! Never use a microwave or stove to heat the water).
Once all the ingredients are melted, remove the bag from the water. Squish ingredients around in bag to mix; work quickly! Clip off a tiny corner of the bag and squeeze gloss into the clean container. Let it set for an hour, or put it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
There you go! Use a cotton swab instead of your finger to apply gloss. Your lip-gloss should last a long time. If it changes color, odor, or texture, though, throw it away.
3. Coconut Lip Gloss
© Rabbit4HGirl@aol.com
1/2 cup beeswax
1/3 cup coconut oil
coconut flavoring
lipstick slivers or mica
lip balm tubes or pots
Melt beeswax and coconut oil together. Remove from heat. Add flavor and lipstick or mica to your liking. FYI: red lipstick will make a very alluring pink! Shimmery lipstick is particularly nice. Pour into tubes or pots and let harden. Enjoy!

Get some petroleum jelly like Vaseline and mix it with a touch of lipstick or mix 2 or three and there you have it. Experiment with different amounts to stay in the lip gloss appearance.

A great way to get the lip gloss look is to put on lip liner on almost your entire lips and they put vaseline on top. This lasts longer than regular lip gloss, gives your lips that sexy shine, and stays put where you applied it unlike regular lip gloss, that can go outside your natural lips and look like you slobbered on yourself. You can try blending a lighter lip liner on the inner part of your lips with a slightly darker one on the outside. This makes your lips look bigger. It's fun to experiment.

Vitamin E Enriched Shea Butter Lip Balm
submitted by HBN President Donna Maria
This is a fabulous recipe for one of the creamiest lip balms I''ve ever made. It's packed with Vitamin E enriched shea butter from SunRose Aromatics, one of our Partners. I left this one unscented and the slight aroma of the olives comes through just barely. Oh so creamy and spreadable ... you''ll love it!!
Yield: Approx. 1.25 ounces (enough to fill about 5 1/4 ounce lip balm tubes/jars)
Prep Time: about 20 minutes
Price Category: 1
Difficulty Level: 1
Shelf Life: 6 months

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon beeswax
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon shea butter

Blending Procedure:
Place all ingredients in a heat proof measuring cup with a pour spout. (I like to use Pyrex.) Put the cup in a pan of boiling water and stir gently with a pop sickle stick or clean spoon until the wax is almost melted.
Remove from pan and stir will until wax is completely melted. Carefully pour into lip balm tubes or pots. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes before using. Enjoy!!

Plain and simple: Castor oil
Yeah, it just tastes like oil, but on top of any color you wear, you'll have an awsome shiny smile!
