There are still millions who do: those who would choose a president on a hot-button issue; those who value outward personality like theirs over professional competence. Those who simply don't envisage economic, political, environmental, military and security disaasters ahead for the USA and the world.
Many people find it impossible to be critical of their assigned leader. Many do not understand or care about corruption. Most do not delve too deeply into politics, but rely on TV sound bites, and find no fault with the failure media to go very deeply into the issues, and to accept uncritically errors and lies of the leadership.
In the heart of Red State country are those who love George Bush and who are convinced that everything and everybody that opposes him is part of a liberal plot, that liberals are the enemy, follwers of the anti-Christ.

I REALLY hate people when they talk about how bad Bush is, just because it's annoying. I really don't like Bush, but i live in NY, the most democratic state out there, so it's all i hear about, how bad Bush is, and it's really, really annoying. So i want a democrat to win next time so i don't have to have headaches because of Anti-Bush people.

Bush has done what needs to be done, no matter what people say. Think about it: if you were in a situation that was similar, what would you have done? Just about the exact same damn thing, I'm sure. Unless you're one of those "let's sit down with someone who HATES MY GUTS, and try to talk peacefully" people.

I think he has done a decent job. Don't agree with everything, but a decent job!

I'm not fond of him, his values are tooooo different from mine. I believe in helping our own country before others, living on budgets, healthcare for all, cutting out govt expenses such as limo's and extravagances, no war, and border control within reason same with air travel. I think we need to make our own country safer, healthier, and initiate more pride here before we do anything else. We need to create jobs, unity and strength. Spending billions of dollars on a war very similiar to Vietnam is not economical. I'm not against the soldiers or the fact we have to fight for our rights and freedoms, but we need to do it in a more sensible way.
