As a general Deer repellent, I've had good luck with Garlic oil capsules. They are about 3-4 inches long with a hole in the side to let out the scent. Unfortunately, I did a quick Google search and was unable to find them for sale. Here in northern Michigan, I get them at the USDA Soil Conservation Service office.
You MAY want to try getting a container of minced Garlic from the produce dept of your local grocer and applying it directly to the trees in question to prevent further damage.
In general, I've found garlic to be superior to any other Deer repellent (hair, soap, sprays, etc) I'm still waiting for an adventurous customer to allow me to plant a swath of Garlic outside their landscaped area as a more permanent solution to Deer problems.

The same way you keep a dog from scratching, or rubbing its back. Are you talking about a particular tree? If so, cut it down.
And by the way, how do you stop people from scratching their heads? The same as stopping a deer from rubbing.

I would watch how much pee I put on a tree cause I am pretty sure it kills flowers. But I would just like like to know where you are at so I can come hunt on your land there.I would probaly just you know wait on his a!@ and have some deer steak. You might want to put a scar crow out or just wizz a couple bullets by him to let him know who dang boss is.I mean if this up in your yard you know just trow something at him and have your gun cause he may want to whipp you butt.Remember that this just what I would do try not to get hurt or something.

Try peeing on it. Seriously. The smell of a human will deter them. We saved two willow trees from being eaten by deer this way. Well, my husband did.

Human hair, A bar of soap, or (seriously) Coyote urine which you can purchase.
All will act as deterrents to drive the deer away....
