Us aussies have coloured money too, it's so much easier to tell the difference at a glace, and it's much more interesting too.

Pink = $5
Blue = $10
Orange = $20
Yellow = $50
Green = $100

I think we have the best looking money in the world. American money is boring and feels like paper... it's so easy to rip accidently. Ours has a plasticy coating. Very hard to rip, can go through the wash without disintergrating and just more hardwearing. (You also can't burn it!)

And all these people like 'Oooh, I'm not going to handle a pink bill'. Geez, what a bunch of babies. It's just a colour, and its just money. No one has ever complained about our money here. I guess our men are more secure. They can handle a pink bill without having to resort to juvenile 'Eww gay' remarks.

I think each denomination should have its own color, like green for 100's red for 50's blue for 20's etc many other countries use this system and it works well to help sort and count your bills. It helps avoid any controversy of someone not looking at the number and knowing exactly what they have. I still think 20's and 50's look way too much alike at first glance, and for someone who is dislexic, it would be easy to mix up a 2 and a 5, color coding it would help a lot. .

No - american monies are confusing enough without adding colors - but cool idea!@ PS WHY BROWN? Why would you want monies to be the color of crap - expecially the $100 dollar bills - now maybe the $1 dollar bills I could understand that!@

That would cut down on the old flash a $100, then pass a $1 trick.

Yeah that would be cool. They have started adding some reddish color on some of the newer bills now.

They recently added some color to it because it is suppose to make it harder to make counterfeit. I don't know if one specific color for each bill would make it as hard to counterfeit as current changes supposedly have.

I have the feeling no one takes our Canadian money seriously. Mostly because it's coloured and because we have the loonie and the toonie instead of bills. I miss one dollar bills.

No one is going to handle a peach-colored note in the US and purple? Forget it.
