As a teenager, I am having to answer this question on a recent application and am curious HOW to answer it!

Love! When you have people at home depending on you, whether it's a wife, children, mom, whatever, and you know they are relying on you, love motivates you. If you're a teenager, love of self! I deserve to go to college. I will work hard and do the best I can, because I love myself and want the best for myself. Obviously, my parents are not millionaires, nor will I get mega grants, and so I have to work. If I want to better myself, I have to do it on my own. Therefore, I NEED this job! What makes one work hard is knowing your hard work will pay off and get you somewhere! And that someday, I will come back and be the manager, if not the owner here, not just an employee. Hi,
I think why makes one work hard is to get more experience it's really important cause later you will ask how expert are you dealing in one sector mostly it will be seen according experience. Also some other is for Reward either money, recognation, promotion. But all will be follow if you have interest to work more to gain as many as possible new thing or think something new... I guess interest to want you work is the most essential.
So I guess "Interest" make someone work more harder or not....
Have vision about future, and plan it to a little step...

I think they are wanting to know what motivates you to work hard. Is it pay raises? Is it personal appreciation? Are you looking to get Employee of the Month? Is it promotions?
Some people are reward people and some people are stick people. That means that some people work for rewards and other people work hard so they don't get punished. I think they want to know how you fit into that mix.

Just write "one's initiative to work hard is to earn the feeling of a job well done and to be able to look at the finished product and say:' hey, i did a ood job.'"

Ambition.
For respect, more money, promotions, nice homes, nice cars, nice clothes, nice vacations.
You can't get anything without ambition, not even a glass of water in your own kitchen.

What they are trying to find out is about your work ethic. What would you do to make sure you get the work done, especially if no one is watching over you.

a lot of things; like for example the desire to achieve better things in life, to get a better position in your job, an recognitions for being a better worker, this will improve your self steam.
