Are you waking up on your own, or to an alarm (or crying baby)? I find that I can sleep for a long time, but if I am FORCED to wake up (by an alarm for work, etc.) then I am wicked tired. If I fall asleep and only sleep for a few hours, but am not forced to wake up, I usually don't feel as bad. What's worse than being forced to wake up? Ugh, I hate alarm clocks.

Could you possibly be depressed? I use to sleep 12+ hours at night, and about fall asleep on my way to work the next morning. I was suffering from clinical depression. It may be hard to think this may be the problem, I know.....don't completely rule it out.
