Im 25 female and I have an extensive collection of dvd including some disney classics, Toy story 1 and 2, Pixar movies, even old ones like The Labyrinth. He's got a great sense of escapism. Movies like his fav's you listed are classics. They should be embraced. Just because it is a cartoon does not mean it to be childish. In fact, a lot have quirky lines intended for adults. I think it is fantastic. More people should take time you embrace fun innocent movies like these. I say never grow up. And why would it be gay? Thats weird
