Open your mouth wide, but close your lips to an "O"
Start flicking your finger against your cheek until it's to where you have that hollow popping sound.
Once you have that down pat, start pushing your tongue forward at the same time. The waterdrop noise itself is created by the mouth becoming smaller in internal area (due to the tongue movement), thus creating a higher-pitched popping sound... and when you have it timed perfectly with the finger flick, the sound becomes higher pitched during the course of one "flick," thus doing the "DOOOooooeeeep" thingy.

I started doing the water drip noise decades ago and perfected the volume control with practice. My favorite was to find a quite bar or lounge and make the drip incrementally louder based on reaction. For example I would start low and see who turned to find the leak(mind you, I was only making a drip sound LOL) getting loud enough for the bartender to eventually look on the floor to see if they could find water. Had a lot of fun with the noise, but unfortunately I can't do it anymore or, I don't have the same enthusiasm:)

Okay...
Step One: Practise making the OH-WEEE sound... like this... ooooohhhhheeeeeee (think of the flying monkey men singing O-E-O... on Wizard of Oz).
Note -- make sure the sound is blowing out as you make it, not inward like you might normally do it.
Step Two: Now, practise the Oh-Wee sound, only don't let the sound come out. More or less, blow it out.
Step Three: As you get to the WEE part of the sound, flick your finger onto the center of your cheek. (for a good example of this, catch Cameron on Ferris Beuhler's Day Off when they're at the stock market).
That's it.
I sure hope you can do it. I was so proud of myself when I figured out how to do it!!

Put your tongue in a cup position and just do it. It is hard to explain, you need to see someone do it physically not internetally.
