Hi, I am 35, I did not do good in school, I am not good looking, I now work a dead in job. As I look over my life I see a lot of mistakes. . . a lot. But here is my question, I am a Christian now and I want to get up and live the successful life I always want. Am I too old?

Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

This is a promise made by God to everyone who accepts and claims it.

No matter how old one is, it is never too late for him/her to start all over.

You listed things that you believe are going to work against you in order to have a successful life.

1 Samuel 16:7 – “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

What you failed to see is how God sees you now.

Aren't you glad that in your worst state and condition, He saved you?

He did not save you while you're in your good days.

And I wanted to speak blessings and encouragement on you today. I TRULY and SINCERELY believe that your stature in life will not hinder you becoming and truly living a succesful life, one that has been meant for you by God.

Yes, there will be stumbling blocks along the way, BUT with continuous faith and hope, YOU WILL ARRIVE AT YOUR GOAL AND DESTINATION with a strengthened faith.

Seek God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. Seek His will for your life and it will be revealed to you.

Proverbs 8:17 - "If you seek Me, you will find Me."

Jeremiah 29:13 - "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."

Yes, you are too old if you start thinking in that direction.

No, if you consider my age 45 as being older. You are definitely younger.

A friend of mine is more than 55 years earns about S$ 10K a month. Not that she has high education - she does not. Is she rich? Nope. So what is the secret formula? MLM? Don't waste time unless you have good human relations. Become another Durai you ask - you don't want to be in that position. Illegal activities - Don't ever think about it.

Look I know you have thought over it. You have plenty of choices. These choices does not lend you to a good starting point.

Think about what options/choices you don't have or have not tried before.

You mentioned Christianity - that is a good start. Wealth is not about Dollars & Cents. It is about giving - because you will receive.

Have you ever thought about helping people? Which areas? - Have you try looking around to find out what is suitable for you? What are the resources you need (Development such as Education, Connections/Network, Areas - Disability: Physical/Spiritual/Mental, Support for Old or Young...etc)?

1946 - 1972 Babyboomers, Social problems due to changes in societal values ...etc

Are there opportuntiies or what? Does this grow with age? You could either work with your religion or work with NGO, Volunteer organization ...etc

I prefer to be known young. So your move, young man ...take it easy. If yu need more information, email me.

Think of it this way: You're 35 now. If you go to school full time and get a four year degree, you'll be 39. (assuming you have no previous credits) How old will you be in four years if you don't go to college? Also remember that through God, all things are possible. (that's in Romans somewhere) Dream. Pray about it. Develop an action plan. Do.

A lot of people at that age start going to school and try to have a more successful life. This is normal and by all means you are not to old. Go for it!

First off if you want to be controlled the rest of your life keep on being a Christian. Or whatever else religion. But if you want other to think for you its ok. Cause some people need that and want it.

No it not too late. You need to really work on it. Its called desire. If you really want to you'll do it. Or you'll just hit bottom. Some bottom is death some its the lowest point in thier life. I'd start reading some psychology books.

No. This is the best time to start. You have the rest of your life, till maybe 100, to live your dreams. You are actually very young. Examine what you would really need to do to be a success and make sure your idea of success is not something that isn't going to make you happy anyway.

Nope, you're still young enough to start all over. You know where the pitfalls and obstacles are now, use that to your advantage and avoid failure again.

Just keep a journal, especially of those days you feel very inspired. So when your feeling dumpy, you can read those inspiring words you wrote and get back on track.

. Lets say you are interested in a field of work which will require five years of study and training. You will be 40 by the time your are prepared to make your living in that field of work. If you do not put in those five years of training and study, how old will you be in five years, and what will your prospects be? Go for it. When you look back on it when you are forty, you will say, 'It was only five years; and now my life is changed!' If you don't do it, in five years, you will be looking back at five years behind you and forty years ahead of you of the same old same old.

If you're too old to start over, I'm in a heap of trouble. I'm 46, and I'm starting over again.

NO. You are NOT too old to start over.

You are "HUMAN."

You have the ability to transform your life.

You can stop doing things you believe you should not do.

You can start doing things you think you should do.

You can use knowledge gained through past experiences to build a better future.
