I'm going on a trip to Vegas, Yeah, Baby! And my uncle told me that I should cancel my reservations at the Fiesta Henderson for something much closer to the strip, possibly at "The Orleans" or something from i4vegas.com. Is it worth a $15 cancellation fee to go into the heart of Vegas?

If you go to Henderson, you will need to rent a car and you will miss out on a lot of what Vegas has to offer. I would certainly cancel that reservation and get on the strip!!! Treasure Island, Stratosphere and Luxor are pretty cool. Have a great time!!!

$15 for a cancellation fee is nothing when you think about what it will cost you in travel costs be it renting a car or paying transit costs. Even if the place has a shuttle usually they only run every half hour and they fill up quick. I stayied at the Stratosphere and I thought that was too far away! I would try something on the strip- if you still feel like it is too expensive try looking into renting someones timeshare. I am paying next to nothing for a one week stay in a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and that is only a block off the strip. But definately stay as close to the strip as possible!

Absolutely. I won't stay more than a block away from the strip. ALL the action is there. If you stay in Henderson you will spend a lot of time driving...then parking etc. If you need a cheap place the Super 8 isn't so bad and it is only a block from the strip. Some cheap casinos are The Stratosphere, Circus Circus, and Excalibur. :) Have fun! I LOVE VEGAS! Yeah baby Yeah!

use the hotel websites to get better deals, unless there is a convention, and/or you plan to stay on the weeknd, then the rates
are higher..I like the rooms at the Rio, big and nice, with a little sitting area, for pretty much the same prices on the strip, with shuttle bus access to strip. Henderson is close by ,but you need to cab in or rent a car, parking miht not be close ,even if it is free hotel/casino parking-use valet...

YES! Book a room near the four corners area: MGM, NYNY, or Tropicana. I don't recommend Excalibur unless you have kids. Monte Carlo and Luxor are also fine choices near the four corners where you can find excellent room rates. You won't regret the loss of your $15. There aren't many places in the world more fun than the Vegas strip.
