Does it really matter? He is only a figurehead, not the cause or the answer to problems. Before a decision on any subject is reached, he has the tacit agreement of the Cabinet and
Congress but he alone suffers the bad press. You blame him for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan but he was simply responding to public pressure to do something, now when we are bogged down in a quagmire without resolution, you blame him for his heavy hand. I am not defending him, but what did you want then and now? Could anyone satisfy you. Many of the political problems facing the US are simply continuations of old problems...North Korea comes from the 50s and the problems of Vietnam began in the 40s through our own egotism and stupidity. Gore would have done no better. The presidency is controlled to a large extent by big business, our allies and the run-away media that seeks to create news. Unlike Al Capone, Bush is not the leader of the gang...the gang leads him. Place the blame on the Oil Companies, DuPont, Bell Helicopters, etc and self-seekers that support war industries in their own districts to stay in office. Things will not change under a Democratic Congress, just a different way to do the same thing to the US.

actually, the first election for bush was a little sketchy. because of in florida where dead people voted republican and many democrats were not allowed to vote because there name was similar or their social security number was close to a convicted felon. it's kind of weird how the bush's brother's state was the state needed to win the election. i find it fishy. so for the first election i think he cheated. i don't know what went wrong in the second. maybe if our country would focus on actual political issue rather than morals when voting we would have a good president.

Let's see...
Well, first I should tell you that Im obnoxious. I generally think the two-party system completely stinks because it's the equivalet of coersion. I mean, you can't vote for the completely, reasoble guy down the street becaue he doesn't know the sleezy ins and outs of maniuplating the sytem.
That said, i'm not THAT jaded. I thnk the bottom line is that Americans love Busch because he HATES. They love him becaue he's not bashful about expressing that in public. He doens't KNOW that he should be ashamed.
As a journalist/writer I find the current adminstrative to be...well. 'weasely.' That is, I see them covering up insignificant things, which leads me to believe that they understand the "hierarchy of crime evidence"
Okay, but back to my "out on the holiday, not acting like an adult" opinion. A man who leaves his wife to take care of god knows what (turkey, decoration, fielding phone calls from the disgruntled, scrubbing the toilets to appease an annoying acquisiion). Said man should be old enough. That is, he is mature enough, has had enough of either Thanksgiving or some equvalent "chip in" type of family get togethers.

Because people are afraid of the unknown. They keep limiting themselves to the same old choices .You'd think that in a country that is supposed to be a beacon for democracy and freedom that you'd have more than 2 parties that could realistically hope to win.I think America is a great country and I'm going to give it's citizens credit and say they can do much, much better than the way things are now.

Hello there,
He was put there, two times by The Bilderbergs, The Illuminati, The Freemans...
It certainly was not because I voted for him 2x.
Our votes have never counted for anything. It is all an optical illusion my friend.
He is in the White House to perform a specific function: to further the cause of the New World Order. Like his father talked about in his inauguration speech in 1988.
Here, listen to it. He did not say this for nothing. He was honoring his secret society comrades.
Hope this helps you understand our oh so lovely government and how, all the want to do is "Rule the World".
Hope this helps you......................................... :-)

I agree
Why is there so many booing going on about him all over United States and yet, he is elected TWICE as a president.
Probably because of the spoils system.
Is he really voted by the people with all this booing going on?
What did he do to help benefit this country?

Cause Americans who are pig-headed (most of us) voted for him.
By the way, October has been the deadliest month in Iraq ever. Very nice Mr. President a.k.a. Mr. Terrorist.

Because over 49 million people were stupid enough to fall for his line of bs during the 2004 election and voted for him. I hope they're happy - they're getting just what they apparently wanted.
