PR = Power Rating = points+rebounds+assists = p + r =a
I developed the Power Rating to resolve arguments/discussions.

Chamberlain - 30.1 + 22.9 + 4.4 = 57.4
Kareem - 24.6 + 11.2 + 3.6 = 39.4

Wilt is the best.

Wilt was better by a large margin.
Wilt has the most records in NBA history

For a career Kareem averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds and Wilt averaged 30 points and 22 rebounds, plus Wilt is the only gut I ever seen block Kareem's sky-hook and on may occasions.

Good question, and many could debate using statistics saying Wilt was better because he averaged 30 ppg during his career compared to Jabbars 25 and more rebounds with 23. However I would choose Jabbar because not only do I feel he was a more versatile player and possessed more finesse than Chamberlain, but he also played during a time when there was more talent and size in the league. I also like Jabbar because he was an all around great player, not only could he put up numbers on offense, but he also got the job done on the defensive end as well. He was named NBA all-defensive first team 10 out of his 20 year career where Chamberlain was named to the all-defensive first team only twice out of his 14 year career.

Kareem was more flexible with his legendary hooks ( especially when he was a Milwaukee Bucks MVP ) and the un-heard of SLAM DUNKS way back in the 70s era. Wilt was a 100-point record holder and shoved himself versus Kareem just to get a shot. ( his playboy lifestyle was more given publicity). Kareem really was better even when he teamed up with the Lakers after Wilt retired.

I would say Wilt Chamberlain. Kareem had the better career, but if we had to compare them individually, no doubt, Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest individual player of all-time. 4x NBA MVPs vs. 6x NBA MVPs (Kareem is also the only, I believe, player to win it without making the playoffs back in '75, that's a feat in it of itself) Highest season average 50.2 (Wilt) Highest rebound game 55 (Wilt) Most rebounds: 1. Wilt 3. Kareem Most Points Total: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 points (but don't forget Kareem's illustrious career lasted 20 seasons vs Wilt's 14 seasons) Who owns the most scoring records: Wilt 49 of 66 belong to him Highest point game: obviously the 100 point game Wilt has the higher PER for the season (26.1), while Kareem has the higher playoff PER (23.0) Kareem came at a really good time when Bill Russell retired and Wilt was no longer in his prime. Competition Wilt faced (not the 6'5 centers myth): Willis Reed Bill Russell Bob Pettit Artis Gilmore Nate Thurmond Jerry Lucas Walt Bellamy One of Wilt's biggest fears initially was Swede Halbrooks because of his 7'3 stature, but Wilt figured him out. Plus Halbrooks had not determination to win. Both are excellent players and some of the best to dribble on the hardwood. No one get me wrong either, I love Kareem (have you seen my avatar?), but I think Wilt individually was more dominant.

Kareem. All stats would eventually equal out...the difference is that Kareem could always get a shot out with his sky-hook. The only unstoppable move ever in the NBA.

I'd say Wilt because of his unique size and talents at the time he came to the NBA. Seven footers were becoming common when Lew Alcindor came along. If time could repeat itself and I were in a position to be able to draft either one, I would take Wilt every time.

Wilt because he was so dominant...Kareem was good but didn't even get close to scoring 100 points

Kareem, of course. Remember, he was the NBA scoring leader. He played longer in the league, and, he invented the only unblockable shot in the history of basketball. TOP THAT!!!
