I totally understand what you mean. It seems as though every new band that sounds even a little like rock label themselves "rockers." Also, the whole "rocker" style is cool now. Have you seen the clothes in the mall? "rocker" t-shirts and those stupid tight jeans!!! I mean come on! this is ridiculous!

Would it be better if everyone wore, umm, NOTHING instead? Emo isn't even that popular. Although, I would rather listen to panic at the disco than "bleep that bleep bleep bleep", but I suppose thats just me.
And the "i write sins not tragdeies" video is trying to make a point, that isn't how emos dress.
Everyone? Everyone makes funs of me being emo! Which I sort of am. My clothes lean toward goth (not emo) and i listen to emo music and i write poems about depression and suicide. But I don't hang out with emos. I hang out with everyone! My best friends are a combo of girl jocks, band geeks, and nerds.
According to 90% of teens (that I know, maybe it is different in other places, but I am a teen) being "emo" or "rocker" (which I've never even HEARD of) or "goth" (which is completely different from emo) isn't cool.
My question to you is, are you over 100 years old, and do you live on a deserted island? Because you sound like it!

I wouldn't even go as far to call it a "rocker" image. Like others have said, it's more of an emo or punk image. If you want to see what a true "rocker" image looks like, take a look at old pictures of the Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc.

The reason why is that it's safe. The record labels pick young adults that "look and act like rock stars" Their outfit, image, etc. This wouldn't fly back when rock was invented. Do you think the lead singer of Molly Hatchet wouldn't slug one of these kids in the face? Image is everything, and until the labels stop pushing safe rock, boy bands, and people who "are trying to look cool" that is all you'll get.

I don't think it's ROCK..
I think they are more of Popstars..
But the fancier way of saying it today is "emo"..
I guess it's moving with the trends..
That's just how music taste change over the years.
I personally like rock music from the 70s and 80s..
even when i wasn't even born back then but i have to admit old school is soo much better..
People acting ridiciuolus do it to get more fans or attention..
it's quite funny..
They want their fans to like their weird personalities..
I like it..
But not really into the music or bands..

Genesis a million:26 Then God suggested, "enable us make guy in our image, in our likeness, and enable them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, over each and every of the earth, and over each and every of the creatures that bypass alongside the floor." We rule over issues. it really is one way we are in God's image. Why are we sinners? initially we were no longer. God initially made us ideal. We fell and are literally lower than a curse. that's such as a sparkling motor vehicle, if it will be made ideal. Crash it and it really is no longer ideal.

Male members of emo bands find themselves hit with homosexual tendencies largely a reflection of the style of dress popular within the \\\"emo scene\\\" and the displays of emotion common in the scene

you just asked that question about what song you liked besides Fall Out Boy... for some people the image of rocker punk person is better then slutty nearly revealed smack that music video girl, FOB and PATD are my 2 FAVORITE bands, and I even though I like rap A LOT I don't think that the opposite type of music is stupid, you know you just insulted like about half of America in that statement... ... and at my school if your rockers emos or goths, your considered out of the norm, so no everyone to me is a gansta rapper bling wearing pant sagging person.

Well... those two bands are considered more "light rock" rather than hard rock like BLS, AC/DC, Metallica, etc. It just happens that they are the ones you're looking at.
