They say they want to stop calling a Christmas Tree, a CHRISTmas Tree! Well they suck! No matter how hard you try, you can't take Christ out of Christmas. This is the most retarded thing I've ever heard! A Holiday Tree my butt!

I have heard about the Pagan part of the Christmas tree, but that was old tradition and one these days "worships" the Christmas tree. I know the history of it but it's the principal of the whole thing. They want to change the name because it mentions Christ in it. That's just dumb.

Ridiculous, isn't it? It's PC gone wild.
Not only the tree - when I was a kid in school, we had Christmas vacation, Christmas plays, exchanged Christmas presents, and sang Christmas carols. No more.
It's now winter vacation - and forget about singing carols or Christmas plays - and God forbid we set up a nativity scene.
Lighten up, people - if you're genuinely offended - which I doubt - look the other way. A little tolerence once a year won't ruin your life.
On the bright side, I am extremely pleased to see that a lot of the large retailers are ditching the lame "Happy Holidays" signs for "Merry Christmas" signs. (Note - Sears never abandoned the Christmas signs.) Maybe there's hope after all.

Christmas trees are actually not about Christmas at all. They are part of the pagan celebration of the winter solstice on December 21. Early Christians found that by placing a worship holiday on or near the pagan days, allowed for pagans to resume their traditions and celebrations, but also diminished their value.
It's widely believed among scholars that Christ was born in March sometime. The star the wise men followed is now understood as the alignment of 3 planets for a period of 2 years (the magi actually visited Christ when he was about 2 years old in Egypt!) The first sighting of this "star" was in the zodiac calendar of Pieces (no other common calendar was available) and Pieces is marked by the fish symbol, also widely associated with the Jews.

Sugar: Settle down. If it wasn't for the Christian observances such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Sunday - there would be no holiday for the people of the Western world. Therefore, we would regard these days as "just another working day". It won't be long until these days are changed from "holidays", to regular working days. But; you have to eliminate the family time together connected by the term "Christian". Employers will no longer be obligated to give us these days off. There has to be some kind of "god" people will replace the belief in Christ in with. It may be money, materialism, drugs, sex, cigarettes, booze, music or another form of religion. There can not remain a vacuum !!! So; people can go along with this "political correctness" crap and be sucked-in to someone else's plan for them, with their own permission !!!

Christ has nothing to do with Christmas for most people. The least you can do is respect that. No amount of you preaching will change anything.
I'm non-Christian and I call it a Christmas tree. So do other non-Christians I know.

Jesus Christ is the reason that Christmas is even a holiday...I believe that it is time that Christians start fighting the atheists back. They are taking OUR freedom of actually HAVING a religion, and it is REALLY making me mad.

I so agree with you. IS not Xmas anymore, but Holiday Season. That is something about America that I don't understand! All other religious don't make emends for us but we have to make for them? If they want to celebrate Xmas, great, but do it in the christian way! Retarded, ignorant, too please people attitude.
