I really don't care to deal with family tomarrow and to cook, last year I didn't feel this way and delt with the same people. I feel like a spoiled brat because I have alot to be thankful for, but I'm thankful for that everyday and not just one day. Can you help me snap out of my funk? Thanks. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Try making a list of things you are thankful for. Start small with things like:
I'm thankful that I have a family
I'm thankful that I can afford food for a special meal
I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head
and so forth

Mustang Susie, eh? Well, if you've got a Mustang, you have to be happy. It's part of the deal. If you're going to be unhappy, lose that cool-*** car and get some old sedan. Or station wagon.

If you're the daughter in this deal, remember how your parents go up and down with your moods, and give 'em a break tomorrow.

You'll definitely feel better, and you'll definitely feel better ABOUT it the next day. You won't get this Thanksgiving back - so get into it.

And, GO LIONS!

think how you would feel if those people were gone and you never got to see them again. or if you were in the hospital on life support and didnt get to eat with them, or if your hands didnt work and you couldnt cook, Really think about those things and you will be truely thankful for your family. I'm not making this stuff up either, my friends mom is on life support right now, has been for a few days, my grandparents are gone and i wont see them till i get to heaven, would love just one more day to cook for them. Jesus Died on the cross so we didnt have to go to Hell, that alone is something to be thankful for if Nothing else good ever happens on this planet.....Happy Thanksgiving...Jesus Loves You!

There really is no reason for you to feel any more thankful tomorrow than you do every other day. It's great that you do feel that grateful. Many people need a day set aside for them to realize all they should be thankful for. Try to keep in mind that the day is meant to recall the pilgrims. They had a lot less to be thankful for back then! Enjoy the food and try to cheer up!

Well, I'm thankful that my children are alive and healthy. I'm thankful that I have food to eat on a daily basis right now. I'm thankful that each night I have a roof over my head. I am learning all of this taken for granted stuff real quick. You see, my world is turning upside down. I'm losing my home, already lost my car, and am barely making my utilities before they shut them off. So, probably around christmas, I will have to leave my house. And I'm very thankful that I get to spend tomorrow with my family and have a great meal! There is so much bad going on in my life right now and I'm making myself see what I do have. So snap out of it. I'm worse off than you. Make yourself see all the little things. Do you have a warm home? Do you have food in your cupboards? Do you have to worry daily what will get shut off? Do you have healthy children if you are a parent? See what I mean? That's why I'm on here so late....my internet will go soon...along with my cable and car! But you know what? I still have my stereo! And my electricity is still on! I can listen to my music! Things will get better.

nope. if you want to spend thanksgiving alone. go for it. i agree that you are a spoiled brat if you just dont want to go visit your family. at least you have family to go to visit. not everyone in this world can just pass up being with their family on thanksgiving. enjoy what you have before its gone!!!! you dont know...this could be last thanksgiving you ever have. how would you like spending it alone? and i also think its kind of selfish. i'm sure if you have nieces/nephews/other family members that would be happy to see you. you are a very selfish person!!! hope you have a beautiful thanksgiving alone!!!

well i doubt i can help you, i dont know why you are in a funk other than the idea that people put on all this bull and in reality they cant wait till tomorrow at 5 am to open the stores to sell useless junk to you for overinflated prices just because of next months holiday when none of it had anything to do with junk . i dont have many people to deal with and i dont have to cook and i would rather stay home and eat hotdogs. thats life.

go to the homeless shelter, the faithmission, or the nursing homes tomarrow , look at all the loneliness, i would give my right arm to have my baby i lost and my father back just one more thanksgiving , do for others tomarrow, and not for yourself, create memories with your family. and remember that next year one of them may not be there on that day next year.

please do not be selfish, be thankful that you will have a lot of family over, maybe you should reevaluate the reaseons for why you dread your family being over. If there are no major reasons, get over feeling bad for no reason, you will see your friends when you go back to school on monday, just enjoy being yourself around the people that love you

How i get outta funks is i compare myself to Jesus lol (you are in the religious Section) If Jesus can be beaten, whipped, flogged, thorned, spit at, cursed, lied to, kicked punched, and tortured. If he goes through all that and STILL willingly picks up his OWN cross and carries to his grave then i can do whatever task is at hand.
