If the makeup is building up on the outside, use rubbing alcohol to take it off.

If you are getting a film on top of the powder, just apply with a brush instead of the little pad it comes with. That pad creates the film by trapping the oil from your skin. If you carry the compact with you and need to use the sponge at that time, buy an extra sponge and alternate, washing them in between use.

There is no place cheaper to order that I am aware of...they have their own website and distribution and is the same price as in the store.

ebay is great or sometimes these companies have warehouse sales the problem they are invitation only and the invites are given to staff but they usually get a few to pass around so see if you can score some that way because you will get some serious deals! Otherwise try some outlet stores not sure where you are located but I know buffalo, ny has a ton of fashion outlet stores and specifically they have a makeup outlet that sells all brand names for really discount prices. Flea markets are another option just make sure to check that its not old .Just hunt around you can score some deals. :)

It is probably the oil from the puff you are using. If you can use a brush, do that, if not replace your puff or sponge weekly. Also Sephora.com probably sells it a little cheaper than MAC.

its building up because its getting hot, melting, and then getting vold again. This could be from taking it with you in your car and then inside.

Ebay! Ebay sells everything you can imagine, at prices that should be illegal.
